The mission of the Geneva Car Barn and Powerhouse is to create and manage a dedicated space in District 11 where artists, youth, and community members convene, exchange, learn, create and exhibit artistic and cultural works. The Geneva Car Barn and Powerhouse will be an engine that transforms the cultural, civic and economic vitality of District 11 (Excelsior, OMI, Cayuga, Crocker, Outer Mission).
We pursue this mission through revitalization of the historic Geneva Office Building and Powerhouse site, providing artistic, cultural and educational programming for youth and adults of all cultures and ages, and serving as a platform for creative work undertaken by District 11 residents.

La misión de la Cochera Tranvía Geneva (conocido en inglés como Geneva Car Barn and Powerhouse) es crear y gestionar un lugar en San Francisco dentro del Distrito 11 donde artistas, jóvenes y miembros de la comunidad puedan convocar, intercambiar, aprender, crear y exhibir obras artísticas y culturales. La Cochera Tranvía Geneva será un motor que transformará la vitalidad cultural, cívica y económica del Distrito 11 (Excelsior, OMI, Cayuga, Crocker, Outer Mission).
Lograremos esta missión a través de la revitalización histórica del edificio conocido como la Cochera Tranvía Geneva, proporcionando programas artísticos, culturales y educativos para jóvenes y adultos de todas culturas y edades, sirviendo como plataforma para obras creativas emprendidas por los residentes del Distrito 11.
Our offices are currently hosted on the campus of Lick-Wilmerding High School, 755 Ocean Ave. The historic GCBP building is on the corner of Geneva and San Jose Avenues.
POWERHOUSE YOUTH ARTS PROJECT
PYAP is a stipended arts program for D11 youth. PYAP's goal is to cultivate youth leadership through community-relevant arts projects.
Our partners include award-winning youth organizations Youth Speaks, Bay Area Video Coalition/BUMP Records, 826 Valencia, and SF Camerawork.
POWERHOUSE COMMUNITY ARTS EDUCATOR INTERNSHIPS
PCAEI provides paid internship positions for emerging youth leaders to learn and practice social analysis, community-building, and leadership.
